Computer Based Training (CBT) systems free companies and employees from the constraints of time and space. Internet Based Training systems reduce the expense of deployment and enable real-time content updates, progress tracking and reporting.
nStruction
In 2001, NetMediaOne designed and developed an online training environment called nStruction. Our software empowers company trainers with a powerful, though easy-to-use toolset, allowing them to efficiently create and manage online courseware. The nStruction system features:
Content Management
Based on NetMediaOne's flagship product AuthorWorks, the nStruction training system provides courseware managers with familiar editing tool, allowing you to add, edit and delete classes, collateral content and tests. With the plugin toolbar, content managers can:
- Add, edit and delete content
- Cut, copy, paste
- Bold, underline and italicize
- Left, center and right align
- Insert tables and lists
- Create hyperlinks to internal and external resources
- Insert graphics, Adobe PDF and Office file types
- Apply style sheet attributes
- Change background and font colors
User Management
System administrators create user accounts, complete with contact details and permission levels. Users may be segmented into logical groups, to better reflect an organizational structure. User activity and class progress is tracked and maintained within the system throughout the duration of a class schedule.
Progressive Modules and Assessment
The framework allows course creators to produce a rich multimedia tutorial or presentation. Training curriculum can be developed as progressive modules, to allow for interim assessment throughout the training process. Rules can be applied that either allow or disallow users to move on, prior to successful completion of a module.
Student Scoring and Class Reports
nStruction contains an advanced, robust reporting system to allow Courseware Managers to determine the effectiveness of their courses in real time. For instance, if a test report shows that employees are consistently missing a test question, Courseware Managers can update the training content to include additional information on the subject, and verify that the test question is clear in its meaning. Further assessment may indicate that the subject matter requires specialized training.
Reporting can also be used by Department Managers to determine if all their personnel have taken a class, if individuals need further training. They may identify individuals that excel in a particular topic and adjust their job responsibilities accordingly. The flexible, dynamic and informative reporting system within nStruction assures that the information necessary to evaluate courseware and employees is one click away.
